What flavour cakes and cookies do you make?
Flavours for celebration cakes include:
Cupcakes and whoopie pies are available in vanilla, lemon, red velvet or chocolate.
Cookies are available in vanilla, chocolate, lemon or gingerbread.
If there is something else you fancy apart from the above flavour choices please ask and we will try our best to accomodate you.
How do I place an order?
You can either send us an email at hello@icingbliss.co.uk or use the form in the 'contact' tab stating what you would like, the quantity, and when you need it. We will then get in touch with you to finalise your requirements and the price.
What payment methods do you accept?
We send invoices via Paypal online. If you don’t have a paypal account you can still pay the invoice using any credit or debit card. You can also pay by regular bank transfer if you prefer.
How far in advance do I need to order?
For small orders (less than £100) we like to have at least 3 days notice if possible. For larger orders and weddings it is advisable to book at least 2 weeks in advance.
Do you deliver?
Yes, we can deliver and set up an order for you in some parts of London, at an additional cost. Please contact us for a quote. You can also collect your order in person from our kitchen in southwest London for no additional charge.
Deposit
A deposit is required once an order has been confirmed. For small orders (less than £100) the full amount is required as the deposit. For larger orders, a 50% deposit is required. The balance is payable 3 days before the date of collection.
How are the cakes packaged?
Cakes, cupcakes and whoopie pies are packaged in sturdy bakery boxes. Cookies are individually wrapped in cellophane bags then placed into boxes to facilitate transport. We can tie the cellophane bags with a coloured ribbon of your choice if desired.
How long do the cakes and cookies last for?
In the rare occurance that they are not eaten right away, you can keep the cupcakes and cakes in their box for up to 3 days at room temperature. We don’t use preservatives that would exist in shop bought cakes so basically you can expect them to last as long as any home baked cake. Be sure not to put cakes with sugarpaste decorations in the fridge as they will melt. Cookies can be stored in airtight containers for up to 3 weeks. On collection of your order, we will advise the most suitable storage method.
What is the minimum order?
The minimum order for cupcakes, cookies or whoopie pies is 12.
Do you hire out cake stands?
Yes, for weddings or large events we have tiered clear acrylic stands, up to 7 tiers high, which can hold up to 100 cupcakes. The hire cost is £30. A deposit of £65 is also required, which will be refunded if the stand is returned to us undamaged.
For wedding or celebration cakes, we have a range of ceramic and metal cake pedestals to display your cake on. Hire prices vary. Please contact us to discuss your needs. A deposit of £70 per stand is also required, which will be refunded if the stand is returned to us undamaged.
I like a cake in your gallery, but I want a different decoration, can I change it?
Of course! We pride ourselves on making our cakes to your specific requirements. Please describe your requirements when requesting a quote and we will get in touch with you to finalise all details and provide a quote.
Can I choose the colour of the cupcake cases?
Of course. Just let us know when you order if you would like a particular coloured case.
Can you prepare some sample designs for me to see and taste before I commit to placing an order?
Or course, for large orders (over £100) or weddings, we can arrange a consultation for you to see some sample designs. We will create up to 3 different samples of cupcakes, whoopie pies or cookies for the consultation depending on your requirements. We do not prepare large cake samples, but can provide sketches of possible designs. Consultations can be held either at your house or at a place which is mutually convenient. Consultations cost £30 but are refunded if you place your order with us.
Do your cakes contain nuts?
Whilst we do not add nuts to our cakes or cookies, there may be nuts in our kitchens from time to time so we cannot guarantee totally nut free for those with a very sensitive allergy.
Do you offer vegan or gluten free cakes and cookies?
On request we can create cakes or cookies to your dietary requirements. Please contact us with your specifications.
Can I visit your shop?
Icing Bliss is a small family business run from a residential address. Visits are strictly by appointment only.
